| The Memphis Metropolitan Area Long Range Transportation Plan is a multi-modal transportation plan to the year 2030. The plan, mandated by federal law, was adopted in March 2008 by the Memphis MPO and all its jurisdictions. The areas served by the MPO are comprised of Shelby County, Tennessee, the western portion of Fayette County, Tennessee, and northern Desoto County, Mississippi. For these areas, all transportation improvements to be funded by the state and federal governments are included in the plan. The MPO has produced a Long Range Transportation Plan, which includes all of the detailed information summarized on this web site. An Executive Summary of the plan also is available.
These documents can be obtained from the Memphis and Shelby County Office of Planning and Development (901) 379-7840.
