The Transportation Policy Board (TPB) is responsible for setting policy for the Memphis MPO and is vested with final decision-making responsibilities for major transportation planning and programming issues within the MPO’s jurisdiction. The TPB is assisted by five committees (ETC, ATAC, FAC, and IAC) that make recommendations based on each area of expertise
The TPB is composed of the principal elected officials of the governmental jurisdictions participating in the Memphis Urban Area Transportation Planning Process, along with the chairpersons of the major providers of local and regional transportation facilities. The state divisional offices of FHWA, the regional FTA representative, and the West Memphis MPO are ex-officio members.
